“Spirit of Istanbul” to Be Echoed in Dublin

Following the resounding success of its performances in London and Manchester, the “Spirit of Istanbul” concert series is set to enchant audiences in Dublin. Through the harmonious blend of qanun, oud, kemenche, and percussion, the streets of Dublin will come alive with the captivating melodies of Istanbul, echoing its rich tapestry of sound.

Organised by the Yunus Emre Institute London in collaboration with @trinitycollegedublin, and supported by Turkish Embassy Dublin and @turkishairlines, these concerts are part of the centenary celebrations of the Republic of Türkiye, the custodian of Istanbul’s musical heritage.

Audiences will be treated to masterful performances by renowned Turkish musicians @gokselbaktagirofficial

on Qanun, @yurdaltokcan on Oud, @deryaturkan on Kemenche, and @bulentelms on Percussion.
